I thought this might be interesting to find out as a general idea. We all know CTR depends on traffic source, content, optimization and niche, but I'd like to know what some user's CTR are. If you did vote, feel free to post your type of site, blog, forum, single page, category niche (since most don't want to give exact). My CTR for my largest site has a CTR of roughly .30%. It is a forum and a technology niche. Around 1 million pageviews a month, when CTRs are this low I suggest you go with CPM like I did.
Mine is a a home and garden niche and was making about 5% but now has dropped to around 3%. I can't figure out why yet but will do some testing. Other smaller sites I have generally range somewhere between 6% - 28% but the pay is moderately low.
I get around 0,5%-1% CTR with one big banner and 2%-4% with 3 big banners. I have removed 2 banners so i don't get banned for click fraud. Since changing to 1 banner i had only 10% income drop.
since google algorithm update seemed indeed get home niche CTR and number of clicks is smaller compared to the previous
