    What’s your child’s financial future?

Not living within your means is one of the reasons that our economy is in the shape it’s in. We need to teach our children to not repeat the same mistakes that we have made. We as a nation cannot continue to spend more than we make every year. This behavior has been going on for years and has caught up with us. One of our jobs as parents is to teach our children how to manage their money. We have developed a tool to do just that. Whadyapuck.com is a web site for teens and preteens where kids buy and sell items without cash. When you sign your child up for a membership they receive 50 pucks to spend. Pucks are worth a dollar on the site. Members cannot buy more pucks so they will be forced to sell old games, movies, clothes, and any other items to get more pucks to spend. The site has been on line for over two years and we have seen a common trend with our members. Most of our members spend about 30 pucks in the first few days after they sign up then they begin to focus on selling items to save up for other things that they want. This is where we see the learning begin. We built the site to be fun, educational, and safe. Whadyapuck.com has parental controls and is monitored for unapproved items that may be listed. We are parents of teenage children and were tired of all the negative things that our children were exposed to on the internet and decided to do something about it. Whadyapuck.com is like no other site on the internet. The goal for Whadyapuck.com is to create a safe place on the internet for your kids to spend their time. We continue to make improvements to the site. In the future we will implement our store concept where members will be able to design a store that fits their own personality.
