I am not interested in your overall bounce rate, but your Google traffic bounce rate for the entire site. Is your bounce rate for Google traffic higher than your site's overall bounce rate? The site I am working on is quite high, but it is a news site.
I guess it all depends on the quality of the website and your keywords - if they are appropriate for your content.
Search engines. Google: 19.72% Yahoo: 12.11% Bing: 24.92% Search engines average bounce rate: 18.01% Sites overall bounce rate: 17.53% (based on "All traffic sources sent 366,048 visits via 810 sources and mediums") Yahoo seems to be the lowest by far. Cheers James
Overall bounce rate - 47.69% Google - 46.62 % Bing - 100% Yahoo- 100% ( I got rare visits from Yahoo and Bing, thats why we love Google.)
In one of my sites in particular, I had a Google bounce rate of 26.72%. In comparison, Yahoo! delivered a bounce rate of only 19.22%.
Bing/MSN/Live consistently fares better than Yahoo (which is lower than Google). You also have to take volume of traffic into account also, which coincidentally [or not], is also in the same order: Bing, Yahoo, Google.
