I imagine pretty much everyone in this forum will be using BlogRush by now, so I wondered if they'd like to share what CTR they're currently getting. I've been getting 2k impressions per day with their stats only showing 1 click (my own web stats show 6 referrers - so I think their results are goosed). Anyway, by their reckoning I've got a 0.025% CTR. Is anyone else doing this badly?
I was thinking I was the only one, I don't see any click coming from blogrush, I wonder if all the buzz is true...
I just checked it and my "current credit balance" went from exactly 100 to -100 in about an hours time. Im still not sure how to tell if hits are coming from Blogrush though.
Hits will be reported the following day generally. I think they are working on making it close to real time though. My CTR is roughly 1 per 2000 :\
Those with low impression counts (or even those that just want more traffic!) check out this article: http://blogsformoney.com/post/Clever-Trick-Getting-45-Times-More-Traffic-From-BlogRush.aspx It's about getting 4.5 times more traffic from BlogRush. You get 4.5 credits for each pageview rather than just 1. It's nothing dodgey or against their t&cs
I've already removed it - it was only there a day. My earnings come from referrals so it's costing me nothing =D
I've only had 8 visitors since I added the Blogrush widget but I thought I would give it some time. Then I saw an ad in the Blogrush widget for Naked Celebrity Pictures. I pulled Blogrush immediately. I don't want to loose my affiliates!!!
Why you need to nuke it right now got sent the following article, makes interesting reading dont you think. Why blogrush sucks
Forget why it sucks! Get a load of referrals and you don't need to show the widget - it's just free traffic
"Thus there is more traffic owed than traffic available." His Your maths is completely flawed. They don't pay out 1 credit for an impression by a 10th level referral, it's 1/8th of a credit. The whole thing scales meaning for every impression (5 links), 4.5 credits are given out, learving 10% of impressions for BlogRush to keep themselves running. So maybe you should read blog posts by people that have actually have a clue and read the information on the site ;-)
I can't understand why people don't read. The initial "vialotes adsense" posts were bloggers trying to include more BlogRush linkes to get referrals! Google employees have already said BlogRush is fine. AdSense says nothing that artificially drives traffic, and having text links with your post titles appear on other sites are not artificial - they're exactly the same as having your RSS feed syndicated.
