$3,34 :). When I get clicks that are $1,50+ I always wonder.. why do the advertisers pay that much? Are the keywords really THAT expensive :O?

Once upon a time I used to get those so called "highest $ per click" sort of ads. ha ha ha!! Google seems to be giving less and less for people working harder and harder.

Today, .11cents, all time $2.01 on a site that was under development, and was subsequently hacked. Knew nothing about adsense then, had just thrown a right tower of ads in on a friends advice. Never even checked adsense reports. Never put adsense back after the hack.

RL kept me from rebuilding site, hadn't updated or looked at any of my sites for a year. (My Alexa numbers nosediving and the drop in Google Page Rank can attest to this.)

I just got back into improving my existing sites and monetizing them starting with another site first. Got all the old information for my adsense account, logged in, and found I had an existing balance.

A month later, I accidentally figured out how to pull an adsense report for all time earnings by day and almost fell off my chair at the click values on a site with no traffic.

Now, after having said all that, I can tell you that the site had original content articles I wrote and only two articles from other sources. And that it was built to please me, not Google. There was no keyword research, just sheer dumb luck. As you can tell, I tend to be on the chatty side, so the article writing thing works in my favor.

    Go figure.
