I actually swear by .edu links. They are some of the most authoritative backlinks you can get. I get all mine from http://www.edublogfinder.com

 

I vote for forum signature. It will help to get better SERP and bring decent traffic also.

 

Forum signatures are good for getting links. I am finding something new to adopt because forum signatures requires lot of efforts to build lot of back links..

 

In my opinion, backlink and article posting are good choices. Directory submission is a good way.
