Hiring someone for $20 to submit to 300 directories is well spent.

Ah, but the real tip would be how to get masses of inbound links easily.

    1. DigitalPoint Co-Op.
    2. Article submission.
    3. Press release submission.
    4. Director submission.

My advice is to be sincere and honest with what you're doing and according to Googles slogan "do no evil".
You don't have to be an expert to be successful with Google. When you're an expert then you have a great chance to struggle with every update Google does.
Concentrate on the subject your site's about and you'll get rewards.
    Follow their advice!

My tip is, to use the googlepray meta tag.

<meta name="GooglePray" content="Google, please rate me high by keyword (the keyword you are look to get high for")"> :)

    Good one.

The googlepray tag works best in conjunction with the dmozbeg tag:

<meta name="DMOZbeg" content="DMOZ editor, please list my site in {choice of category}; the usual fee has been paypalled to your account">
