What is your Average CTR? In your opinion what is the right CTR for any site/blog?

Greetings everyone. Recently signed up with the sense of ads, aka adsense. Was wondering, what in your opinion is the right percentage of CTR for a site? Like the optimum CTR or something. What is your CTR in average btw? Are you satisfied with your CTR? I also have noticed that in the weekends the CTR increases, so how about in average of a week?

I dont know if it is against google TOS to expose CTR rates, however I am only asking for your opinion and your average CTR, so that hopefully shouldn't be an issue right?

Do inform all of us so that we all can compare ourselves with each other!

    Cheerios!

This question gets asked about a hundred times a week. A quick search on "optimum CTR", "good CTR", "improve CTR", "blog CTR" and such will get you a ton of good answers. Yes, this forum does have a search function.

CTR difrents from niche to niche

Niches where noobs are the main visitators have higher ctr then niches where high tech experienced internet users are most of the traffic ...

Why thank you for being off topic, I truly appreciate your effort to make me understand the function of Search button. FYI - I did a search, which you described very orderly, but for Optimum CTR the results were 20/page with 79 plus pages. The only time one can actually get the right answer regarding such a common term is when looking below a similar thread under related links. But I didnt post this thread then did I?

Please do enlighten us with the results after a quick search on "Optimum CTR", "good CTR", "improve CTR", "blog CTR" and such. Yes, I do have a sense of humor, but do you?

So I believe it should be nice with a 2% average. Thanks a lot 123extra and Contrarian.

You mean noobs who cant spell or noobs who doesn't understand the difference of ads versus content. With a little blending, sometimes you can actually mix it so well that even "non noobs" will be fooled. Of course it depends on niches, but there must be the optimum rate for any niche right?@Webmaster

Aaaaaaaaiiiila! Thats so inspiring... lol.. I wish I had a similar rate... @Nystul and PoshSwinger

Lol... Yeah I know the pain petersavage! Are you satisfied with that number?

I'm getting about 2% CTR. I think the optimum would be around 5% CTR.

On one of my sites its usually less than 1%, on some others its 15% to 50%, some days its 100% only for a few hours of course.

The site getting less or slightly more than 1%, gets the most traffic.

When using an acronym, it should be defined before its usage. Because not everyone knows what a "CTR" is. So now, I have to go off and find out what this rare (1-5%) CTR is. Maybe then I can answer the question.

most users know that CTR means click-through-ratio. If you don't that means that you don't have much experience with adsense so your replay would not be very useful .

Quality sites with interesting content will get 0.5-2% CTR.
If the site is ugly and with little to no content the CTR will be higher ;)
