I am averaging about 12,000 impressions a day and about 15 clicks a day. What are your averages. Just curious.

A hundred and twenty six to 4 ratio is a number that springs into mind but I conveniently forgot which program this was with ;) ... (realizing AdSense T's & C's prohibit the sharing of these values)

Traditionally, web ads should be able to achieve 0.5-1% CTR minimum. If you place ads well(integrate with content), you should easily be able to drive that to 2%+. 15/12000 = 0.125%. You have a pitiful CTR, so there must be something to do with your ad placement-- or maybe your imp's aren't real people, or your ads aren't context sensitive enough...

Ugh. Your placement is horrible. Typically, you want to place ads above the fold. I had to page down numerous times on all 3 of those sites to see any ads.

I would agree. You should run your ads closer to the top of your pages. Also, I am not sure you can say "Help support this site" by your Google ads. It may be a violation of the TOS? I would double-check that if I was you.

and you dont want them to the left or right of the content either. you want them mixed in with the text somehow, so they look natural.

1- It is strictly prohibited to discuss CTRs... and I know for sure, Google sent me an email about that when I asked what information I could share with people if I wanted to sell my website.

2- Forums have a crappy CTR, so if you have your ads on a forum, I would think it is normal for people not to click on them.

3- You can not put "Help support this site" near your ads. You will get kicked out of the program. People should click on ads when they see something that is interesting for them, and not just because you want to earn some quick bucks.

I dunno about you, but I'm discussing general web advertisements, not Google AdSense. What's Google? :)

Well I knew I couldnt discuss exact numbers thats why its just approximate. Also I didn't say anything about how much I was making. I just was trying to get a feel for a good average what I should be shooting for. Thanks for the help and tips I will work on it. I will also remove the Help Support This Site. I had that on there from when I was using my original single ad. Then I found a better way to do it. I just changed it and dropped the adsense code into that same file. I'll change it though.
