About half the Europeans have Celtic Ancestry. The Celts lived in Northern Spain, Northern Italy (Po valley), France, Southern Germany, Austria and into the Carparthian Mountains of Western Ukraine (Galicia) Celtic tribes also formed the nation of Galatia in the west of modern Turkey. In Spain in the region of Galicia they still burn bonfires on Halloween.
Very difficult really to assign a true decendance. Blood is so mixed..... as the cavemen used to say 26 K years ago.
Yes true. If you look up English Soccer Holigaism you will find they were ancestors of Millwall United
About half English half Irish as far as I can tell, going back to my grandparents generation. Not sure what came before that.
This is our ancestry. Think big. potholer54 has some other great videos explaining why science comes to it's conclusions and the methods used.
The Normans where Vikings that adopted the French language and later invaded England. What was the question?
Hahah - well, this thread was from 7 months or so ago, yes? Had to look, and this my best guess as to the recreation - think it went to your statement that Norman Vikings invaded England in 1066: Which threw me - I wouldn't call the Normans "Vikings" by that time, since so much indigenous blood, and gallo-Roman stock had entered the pool. You then mentioned the celts of Western Europe, and I wasn't sure how this related to the notion it was "Vikings" that invaded England in 1066. I have dabbled in playing the highland pipes. One of the interesting curiosities to me is how much of this celtic instrument is preserved in the various forms of bagpipes and bagpipe playing throughout western Europe.
