Sure but if you go back to colonial times Pennsylvania was founded by Germans a.k.a. Pennsylavania Dutch. The dutch settled New York, Northern New Jersey, and the Hudson. Sweden settled Deleware and Southern New Jersey. Also the Irish, Scotch and Welsh were part of Britian. Another thing to consider is that in Europe national borders and ethnic borders are different. I know a German girl that is Prussian. She had one great-grandfather that was Polish and the other half of her family was French Huguenot.
Bogart, no disclosure? Don't worry brother, I will protect you from the Eugenicists, whatever your make-up!
Low Dutch - including Frisian, Dutch or Flemish Celtic - Irish and Scottish German and Austrian-Hungarian
My blood DNA can be traced to Afghanistan, Sindh, South Africa, Myanmar, North Indian Aryan and South Indian Dravidian. All mixed up. But you can still call me Indian.
Whhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? My Gallic blood just rose and boiled. (a poele of guinea fowl, with a madeira sage reduction). Anyway, Bogart, I think that's a stretch. The Normans were composed of conquering Viking, indigenous Frankish, and gallo-Roman stock. By 1066, they really were virtually indistinguishable in most ways from others in other neighboring parts of France. One of the most amazing experiences of my life was to stand on the original parapet of Warwick Castle - established by William in 1068, I think it was, the first of the Earlships of Warwick - and overlook a land where countless battles had been made. One of the most amazing pieces of historical architecture I've been lucky enough to see. Sadly, I understand it has become a theme park, for all intents and purposes.
No way! Don't tell her that. She got a strange visitor in his nineties whom had traced the family tree, and her! He had traced the family back to practically the doomsday book.... I say he was just a lune...
