http://alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details?url=www.frogengine.com 57,714 went up (or rather down) from 47k In reality my traffic has increased by about 18 percent. I guess Alexa has its own mind.
Does anybody know if Alexa is getting more competitive with a growing number of sites competiting for high ranking? Can your site traffic go way up (via Google Analytics), while your Alexa number is getting worse? FB
Yes, the factors that play a role in Alexa rankings have something, but not much to do with the actual traffic you receive. http://www.frogengine.com/blog/should-i-use-alexa-as-an-indicator-of-how-much-traffic-a-site-gets/
Yup, alexa's ranking is based on 'unique' visitors and not pageviews. If your alexa dropped, it likely means less unique visitors but if your pageviews increases, then each visitor is just surfing to more pages.
200,539. But why bother, Alexa is notoriously inaccurate. Just by installing their toolbar and visiting your own sites you can dramatically raise your ranks. The userpool is too small to provide any value.
I dropped a long ways. I used to have a better score, but inactivity and trying to get a fresh start has pretty much killed things. Time to pickup the pace. Site: wna.com.ru - 7,922,785
i dont even wanna know...im not happy with alexa.....mine's not on the 1st 10 pages...duh! i like google even more..letting my sites stay on the 1st page.
I've heard that a webmaster can drive up the Alexa for a site themselves, then show the new number to the client -- saying, see what I did for you. FB
Pretty lucky. Started mine about a month ago (it'd just been a page with a couple links to things I used (since I used it as my homepage on my browser)) and it went from n/a, to 5mil, to 2.5mil, to 1.477mil, now to mid 600's. www.mistergin.net/blog Now just gotta wait to see when google will recognize the 301 in place and transfer my pr4 rank over
Bought a site recently: www.spicyimage.com. Alexa rank is 339K. http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details?q=spicyimage.com&url=spicyimage.com Around 3 months old site.
