I just can't seem to master it.

I have tried and tried to find an ad the will get clicks so after all this time I found an ad that will get at least 2% CTR but now I can't Buy a conversion!

What in the hell am I doing wrong!

All I do is spend money. I have read all the ebooks, tips, trick and what ever else you can think of but still not getting anywhere.

OK so now that that rant is over. I'd appreciate some advice.

I know your first words of advice is "if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen" well I'm not going to get out of the kitchen, not after coming this far!

    So fire away

    Hi Tim,

My tactic is that every time I start a campaign I bid so I am in one of the top 3 positions for any keyword I choose. This means that I get a much higher CTR and Google will increase my quality score (which means I can gradually lower my bid) the higher my quality score then I have more space to lower my bid and still retain a high position and a high CTR.

For example if I am in position 3 with a 5% CTR and a great quality score (Min Bid 0.05) and paying $1 per keyword. Then in order to maintain both the position and quality score and lower my bid I do it gradually. I chip about 10 cents off every day... and after a while you see you will get lots of clicks and maintain CTR while you pay much less. All this means that you will still convert well but won't have to spend as much so you have more of a chance of making a profit.

However, this is something that you need to build overtime with any campaign. It requires patience and an initial investment ;) But in the long run it pays off well.

I dunno i sort of have given up on PPC because i just ended up losing a ton of money. If you know how to use it you will be fine, but if you don't, your are pretty much screwed and you should back out when you can, thats what i've learned.

There are some commen hard to sell product like movie rental, creditcards, loans, student related. if you just started then avoid these products and go to easy to sell/CPA campaigns.

    Hi

I'm not sure if there is any concrete way to get a conversion but I can definitely help you get your ad above your competitors ad. Pm me if you want to know the keywords of your specific competitor along with the bids you need to be on top of them :) this is not generated by tool ! Its genuine

PPC can be a royal pain in the you know what, until you learn how it works. I like it because once you set it up right, you can basically put it on automatic pilot. Google's latest change sent the prices up drastically. The way to get them back down was with showing relevant ads with relevant landing pages. If you put your keywords in the Title and text AND those keywords were at the top of your landing page, your prices would be a lot lower. Having the keywords in your URL too, is a big bonus.

Mine shot up to over $5 a month or so back. Doing what I mentioned above dropped it way back down to under a quarter pretty darn quick.:)

    Good luck!!

Join PPC-Coach. A lot of DP'ers who were really struggling have gone on to great success with the program. I already knew PPC well and learned a lot.
