I have this chicken coop review landing page website. So far I made only 1 sale, from more than 500 hops, which is awfull I know this niche is a profitable niche! this is my landing page url: how to construct a chicken coop can some1 genuinly review my landing page and tell me what is wrong with it. I want to know you, as a first time visitor, will the landing page "encorrage" you to buy the products suggested on the website? I mean, does the landing page makes you want the product? if not, what changes should I make? I really need your precious help guys thanks in advance edit: just want to add, that I am using bum marketing techniques these are the articles I have been writing: http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Percy_Flower
It's not a bad looking site, but the header/logo text "How to Construct a Chicken Coop" is difficult to read. I would probably change it so it stands out better. And as for the rest of it, it's kind of a boring read to be honest. I think its one of those sites that is trying to sell the steak, and not the sizzle. You should start out with a much clearer first paragraph, make it bigger so it stands out and also grabs peoples attention. Rather than this as a intro... Try something like this... It's just an idea, but I find humor always helps out. With the rest of the page just try to explain the benefits the buyer will get if they purchase your books. Use numbers if you can like... Build a coop in under 30mins... or 10 Top Chicken Coop tricks that the pro's don't even know!.. But most of all play around with it, test different versions, and track your results to narrow it all down to the best possible converting page! Hope that helps you a bit
Or how bout "Keep your old hen from flying the coop! No, I'm not talking about your wife!" Seriously, edawg has some great suggestions. I would use a good opener as he suggested, followed immediately by several BENEFITS. What will I get from your plans? Why should I listen to you? Why even build a chicken coop? etc etc. Try to make the reader think they can't live without your plans. With you starting out very early with the steps, you are only going to get someone who already has their mind up that they need a chicken coop. What about those who aren't sure, or who has never thought about it before? Starting out with the benefits might convince them to read on. Kinda hard to explain but I hope you know what I mean. Good luck!! Zeek
comments: - i wont comment on copy because i think edawg is right on the money -i think removing those horizontal lines will go a long way in cleaning up the page. I would take out every single one of them. you dont need them and it makes it look sloppy - after each subhead capitalize the letter and remove that comma at the front - I would try to shorten the top so the review area is higher up - instead of a big chunk of orange copy right above the reviews put a large headline like: The Best of the Best Chicken Coup Plans and then a smaller subhead like: We've reviewed hundred of plans and x and x are the best plans and best prices we've found. - Also, the button says preview copy but it seems you have to buy it. - remove that "design by" at the bottom
The chicken coop niche has been the most unprofitable waste of time i've had on clickbank. I've had zero sales from it from a ton of hops, all fairly well targeted.
If you look at the sales page you will get a much clearer idea of what your landing page should be like in my opinion. It has much more presence for a reader who has no real interest in the niche as opposed to your landing page which is lacking in that area. The first 3 seconds of having the page up on the screen is critical and often people will make the call to go on or leave your landing page in that space of time so it is vital to grab their attention immediately as the sales page does. Hope this is of some help as we all strive to improve and make our sites more appealing and therefore hopefully more productive.
I can guarantee that most people who are looking at the chicken coops are also affiliates selling the same sort of products. (Checking out the competition).
heres a very important tip. 1. consider your traffic source. if it is ppc then make sure your KW's are buyer KWs to keep costs down and conversions high. however, I think your traffic source might be organic so you have the incorrect type of page. the difference between ppc & organic browsers is that ppc clickers are ready to be buy the want quick info and a 'buy now' call to action. organic 'browsers' are more entitles to site search and like blog style reviews that appear more realistic with more info related to their interext not just some generic 5 star review system which looks like cookies cutter style templates. reformat the site with WP into a full blog with about 10 pages all similar and related to your niche and try and capture their emails using a free give away.
I am using bum marketing techniques. I am not using wordpress I am using html and css 1 page review website.
Try add more useful information & tips.Put more killer-words.And try change the fonts since it is small makes it difficult to read.
