Hi guys, Just getting into some article marketing at the moment - I am using ArticlesBase for my main article directory (ezineA take too long to approve and are way too strict on little things these days!). I started off by writing 10 articles for 10 keywords that were low competition. When my articles were approved, I used onlywire to social bookmark the link to about 20 bookmarking sites. Then I also used a service where I spun the article slightly and posted the article to a network of 3000 article directories (from PR0-3) and made sure there was a link pointing back (With keyword anchor text link) to the original articlebase article. Now the first few days, 2 out of the 10 articles were ranked 8th and 9th on 1st page of Google. Now 2-3 weeks later, they are all nowhere to be found! I give up looking for each article after the 5th page! What do you think is going wrong? Do I need to do more than social bookmark and submit a re-written article to other directories? Thanks for any help or idea's! Best regards Altug
Google databases are not always the same and they change. After couple weeks they synch and all go to the final ranking. It seems like your articles (as they stand now) will not be ranked high.
Thanks for your reply, so what else can I do to make them rank higher? Apart from social bookmarking, pinging and getting more articles from directories pointing back to my main article? Squidoo, hubpages? Anything else? Most people I read about seem to get high rankings from simply bookmarking and linking back to the main article on eza/AB from other directories. Thanks for any help
Thanks again, I think you got me mistaken though. The "main article" that I speak of would be on ArticlesBase or EzineArticles - So I don't have much control over their site. I also feel that I have the content and in-article SEO part of it down. I have an english A level and my articles aren't just filled with affiliate links. I guess I want some more backlink idea's other than the ones I've already mentioned.
