hi mods / admin these days we members are getting infractions for no possible reason. within last few days i got several infractions even for asking a review copy. i just cant imagine this thing because it makes no sense to give infraction for such posts. if a user is providing review copies and we are asking for it then whts wrong with it? i guess dp mods are getting too much hyper and rules are too strict to follow. i take all proper care from my side not to post anything unrelated to post / thread but still i am getting infractions. i get infractions for "Inappropriate Post/Thread" kindly look into the matter mods and soften the rules a bit. mods can check my profile and can see i got infractions even for asking review copy. its not justified i guess and if possible mods could delete such infractions i shall be thankful to them. @other members, are you also facing such problems?
I think it is against DP rules and guidelines to make a post just asking for a review copy. They say it is better to send a PM to the one who started the thread or who is selling the item. There have been a number of Infractions for this reason lately! Guess the mods are seating up!!
i have just checked again thread started by Smyrl in BST section : thread name : Types of posts subject to BUMPING infractions thread url : http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=380173 i did not find anywhere in that thread that we cant ask for a review copy. if the original thread creator is looking for some good review makers then what is the harm in asking for it. i dont think it comes under thread bumping or any kind of inappropriate post / thread. yes it comes under spam / inappropriate if we ask again for a review copy in the same thread and for that poster must be penalized for sure. lets see what other members have to say / suggest. it would be nice if some mod could clear this thing here.
