Hi all DP members I have a site http://ask-the-experts.co.cc/ I asked for reviews and almost every second person told me to change the domain name to .com or other I want to ask, what is wrong with co.cc ? which are the cheap .com name selling sites ?
Hi galaji, yes the .co.cc is really going to be hard to remember and look cheap. A .cc is not really held in much regard by domain traders so a .co.cc will not be a good choice at all. To buy a new .com then most of the popular registers will sell you domains for around $7 - 9 with a coupon like MyDomain.com, Dotster, Godaddy etc.
i think that its depend on your site programming not about .co.cc i've .co.cc but can indexing by google so fast, only need 1 day.
with free domains we have not usuly to be surprised by this kind of problems i suggere that you buy a cheap domain your site is good
.co.cc is widely used by many spammers. Since they can be ordered for free many use it and just put crap on it. It's also harder to get ranked well in Google with this tld Better to invest to get some more in return
Simple solution: Buy a .com, upload the content from the current site to there and than 301 redirect all links from the .co.cc to the .com
i am talking about hosting your website i suggested to look for good hosting because it will garante the security for ur site
there is nothing wrong with co.cc tld but its used mainly for spam all over the world so no body gives any respect to co.cc even if it is good
