what is with the .us.com domain extension?

I just noticed (i could be way behind here) at network solutions that there is a .us.com extension. Does anyone know what it is about? I can't find anything on it at all. Do you think it will be as hot as some of the other extensions as far as value goes?

He is talking about .us.com. It is not a true tld. When you order one of these what you are essentialy getting is a subdomain hanging of the main domain us.com

I do not think it will be valuable.. I have very good .US names..They do not have much value..
I guess someone out there get US.COM is offering it as sub domain names...

All I know is that they're pretty expensive and I've never actually been to a .us.com site or even seen one come up in the search engines. I was considering one about a year ago but passed on it mainly because of the price.

Central nic domains are more expensive, but there is some demand
