Website flipping is basically if you build a site and then sell it for a profit. At least that is what I was taught. The money you make/month really depends if someone wants your site or not. you have to build a site with traffic/revenue if you want to make good money with site flipping. Good Luck
I think that website flipping is when you buy a site for a cheap price, and maybe do a little bit of work, and then sell it for more than what you paid for it therefore making a profit.
create a website make XXX amount of money in one month and sell it for 12XXX amount , this is known as flipping of website
I believe the term 'flipping' comes from flipping pancakes or burgers. Imagine that you are the cook, the more websites you pruce up and sell, the more money you can make, provided that people want to buy them. There are many factors which would in involved in determining how much you would make. Your cost, your selling price, your potential market size and how good your marketing skills are.
'flipping' is a term used in the states in the property market. it's when you buy a flat/house that's fundamentally sound but looking in need of a bit of modernisation, renovate and decorate it, and sell it for a nice profit. Or least, that's what you did until the propery market went arse over tit :-/ Flipping websites is a similar thing - buying a domain that's got some potential it's not fulfiliing, tidy it up so it looks like a good investment to someone else and sell it on. It's like anything else - there's money to be made if you know what you're doing, money to be lost if you don't.
There are generaly two ways you can flip websites, buy and flip or make and flip. Buy and flip This is where you might buy a site for relatively cheap. keep it for a couple of months and spruce it up a bit. Get some traffic to it,and get it earning some revenue. You will then be able to sell the site for a higher price. Make and flip This is where you make a website from scratch and sell it. You could either sell it as a turnkey site with no traffic and revenue,or get it earning and sell it for more. How much you make really depends on whether the site is getting taffic and revenue or not. I have seen sites sell for quite a few thousand because they were making money. If the site is brand new and not making money yet you can expect to sell it anywhere from $50-$299. At the moment I have been experimenting in making and selling websites and my last one sold for $299,and it was a brand new site. I apologise for the brief summary, my keyboard is broke and I am using a crappy on screen keyboard lol. Clare
yeah, clare hayes explains the two ways of flipping websites. It's really easy to do. You buy a website you think you can improve by just replacing some ads, or adding some affiliate products. Then link and promote a bit, and sell (flip it) it for a bigger profit then you spend on it. But when it comes to $x,xxx you have to be really good with websites. You could buy huge communities like forums or arcade websites, try to outmanage your competition by adding just a little bit more then your competitors and sell it again on namecheap or sitepoint for bigger profit. Some guys like Jusin Brooke made $60,000 flipping websites, check the video on DT. www.digitalthrone.com
They are actually all basically the same answers just worded differently. You buy a site/make it and then you sell for a profit.
