There really is not an agreement on what Web 2.0 means exactly. You can ask 10 different people and get 10 different answers. My answer is, Web 2.0 is the transition of web to web applications. Web 2.0 is about the evolution of the Web and businesses that are growing online. Some refer to companies employing powerful web technologies as Web 2.0. The main components of Web 2.0 is syndication, collaboration, and platform
Hai Honey, Thanks for your short and sweet reply but my question isn't about does it's working or not. My question is that What is web 2.0?
Web 2.0 is a perceived transition of the web to web applications. Web 2.0 is the next generation of technology solutions where interactive content is the norm. There is no agreement on exactly what Web 2.0 means, depending on who you are speaking with, you may receive different explanations. At it's heart, Web 2.0 is about the maturity of the Web and businesses that are thriving online. While many refer to Web 2.0 as companies that employ powerful web technologies, the key components of the new web are said to include: the web as a platform, collaboration, and syndication.
Nobody here posted examples of Web 2.0 sites, when marketers refer to Web 2.0, they are usually talking about traffic generation. Websites such as squidoo, hubpages, digg, etc.. all fall into this category.
Web 2.0 is just a fancy term used mainly by those outside of web development. Usually it involves dynamic interaction, such as utilising Javascript (with the XMLHttpRequest object), HTML5 and particular styles of layout. Like someone else pointed out it takes on board the latest technological movement of the era, which is the transition to web applications and more complicated distributed systems.
It could be said that Web 2.0 will allow the mass population to communicate with each other and spread ideas rather than receiving their information from a single authority.
Blogger, weebly, blogspot, hubpages, etc. All of those are 2.0 and are excellent sources for back links...
Web 2.0 is the term given to describe a second generation of the World Wide Web that is focused on the ability for people to collaborate and share information online. Web 2.0 basically refers to the transition from static HTML Web pages to a more dynamic Web that is more organized and is based on serving Web applications to users. Other improved functionality of Web 2.0 includes open communication with an emphasis on Web-based communities of users, and more open sharing of information. Over time Web 2.0 has been used more as a marketing term than a computer-science-based term. Blogs, wikis, and Web services are all seen as components of Web 2.0.
my understanding there will be blogs like wordpress, blogger, weebly etc where we can post content related to that niche and after somedays giving backlinks to the main site. As far as i know.
Blogger, Wordpress,Zimbio,Squidoo, Weebly, Typepad, Tumblr are best and top sites. We can use this for our related niche postings..,
