What is use of track back option in bookmarking?

While submitting the bookmarking on various sites, i have found the option of trackback, Please advise what we have to put in trackback.
Please note in track back column the following has been written : " You can add or change the trackback until it has been detected automatically".

Please clear me for trackback point.

 

A trackback is a notification that a link to that page has been created. They can usually be picked up automatically if you are using a traditional blog. If you have a different blog setup, you may need to set the trackback URL.

" You can add or change the trackback until it has been detected automatically"
And above line says : In some bookmarking websites automatically detect the trackback, while enterring website url, therefore as per above line you can change this url according to yours.
