URL Masking means that the visitors to the domain name will be forwarded to your destination website, however the URL in their browser address bar will remain the same. Also known as Stealth Redirection or URL Hiding, this will ensure that your visitors see the orignal domain name and not the destination URL.

 

Fraudulent practice using inline frame or .htaccess to show the content in splitting way at web browser.

URL masking is covering up a URL with a different one. It presents one URL when the actual URL is something different.

There are defenses from the first and third method that site owners can employ to prevent that kind of maneuvering. The second method needs no defense because only someone with access to the domain can use it.

I wouldn't mess with Google, all the latest updates are to show it's fight with Black hat SEO - serious websites got deranked about the latest Penguin update.

This is one of the best Black Hat means of doing the business. It proves to be very annoying to the visitors and the main purpose of the visit is spoiled by some unnecessary means of redirection to the owner desired site.
