What is up Sitepoints A**

Seriously that forum is fast becoming a joke. It feels as if digitalpoint is a party with your friends and sitepoint is like going to your parents funeral.

They are so judgemental and so unhelpful. If digitalpoint keeps the relaxed atmosphere it will destroy sitepoint. I was actually happy to see it has a better alexa ranking already :).

Anyway I wrote a post on my blog about my latest experience here: http://www.buyestablishedwebsites.c...hat-the-hell-is-wrong-with-sitepoints-forums/

You dont have to read it but basically I gave really useful advice and the response from the "know-it-alls" was pointless and rediculous.

I would love to see if any of you guys have similar crappy experiences or would help me vent about how annoying sitepoint is.

Cant wait to see the response :)

I personally don't have any bad experience at SP and I hardly visit there.
It would be really bad if they can not maintain their dignity.

Probably the reason why you haven't had bad experiences, you have to be somewhere to experience it :p

I think JJMcClure is a good poster. If you disagree with his disagreements then try to prove him wrong. Civilized debate is a great path to knowledge.

That's the way sp is. If you post there just ignore it.

SitePoint sucks. I was banned permanently for no reason. Oh wait now I remember, speaking out against them making members pay to list sales threads.

    Fudge SitePoint. :)

I never really used them much but I noticed navigating is a lot easier on DP.

I love debate. But debate for the sake of it is pointless. There are so many mixed messages there.

I hate how that site is structured. It is hard for me to even move around the forums.

    DP is so much better.

More than half a dozen people thanked you for your advice in that thread. Focus on the positive, not the negative.

I don't really visit Sitepoint so I can't relate to what you're saying but some people might prefer less relaxed forums because it gives them the idea that they're dealing with professionals. As long as there are plenty that prefer a relaxed atmosphere there's room for both forums :)

Both DP & SitePoint are very big markets if you can utilise properly.

Well on the update I just got banned for promoting a contest on the forum. I thought it would be useful infomation but they said I avoided marketplace fees and its because I promoted a competitor. My site isnt even up yet :(

I guess I cant bitch about them now since I can not participate.
