Sorry if this is in the wrong section. My stats are split up into these categories, each with different numbers (I use webalizer) I was wondering which one you would call Unique Visitors: Total Unique Sites Total Unique URLs Total Unique Referrers Total Unique User Agents
A unique visitor is one who visits your website for the very first time. If they come back to your site in say 24hrs.. they are considered a returning visitor.
its goes by their cookies, if they are on your site and than come back after an hour they are considered a returning visitor but if its not in the cookie than they are unique
OK, so which of the categories in the image would be unique visitor? Total Unique Sites Total Unique URLs Total Unique Referrers Total Unique User Agents
Unique as in different. Different user that has not visited your site ever and visiting your site for the first time.
The visitors which are visiting your site for the first time are referred as Unique Visitors. Tehmina
I don't think so see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_agent for the definition of a user agent see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unique_visitor for the definition of a unique visitor
None of them.. there is no stat for unique visitors as more than one visitor could could from any of the listed stats.
