I have a restaurant listing city specific to a city. The site is a PR4 with approximately 10,000 pageviews per month and approximately 2,000 unique visitors.

What is the typical rate for advertising space on sites like this?

How much per month for banner from what I would assume would be restaurants wanting to get their name on the top of the listings.

Thanks for your help. The site is over 8 years old and I have yet to sell advertising space on it, but it is time I think.

the restaurant business is tough....and I would have some compassion for your customers (advertisers) but....I think the answer lies in how much traffic are you sending to the restaurants? How much do you think they are willing to spend? How many advertising spots do you have on your site and how much do you want to make per month?

As a ballpark figure...and I didn't look at your site, nor do I know your local market but I would suggest asking $40/week for a global banner ad in the premium spot...and go down from there...so maybe $30/week for a global text ad in a highly visible place...$20/week for a text ad that only shows up on the front page...$10/week for an ad that shows up on any page in category "italian" (again, I don't have any idea what your site does exactly...but you get the idea)
