What is total gravity?

what is total gravity means at cb-analytics ???? Does it means that total number of sales or total number of affiliates who sold the product?

It has to do with how many sales and how frequently those sales have occurred. (or something like that)

 

Looks like summation of gravity over lifespan of product.

CB-Analytics is just smoothing out the product launch spikes over time to get a better illustration of the product to answer some questions like these:

1. are affiliates still successfully selling them over time?
2. is this just a short buzz marketing effort or re-launch promoted by gurus?

Average week gravity is a better indicator of longevity for the success of the product.

For example, compare Reverse Phone Search, Earth4Energy, and Water 4 Gas.

PHONESRCH
Total Gravity = 180,522
Avg Weekly Gravity = 745.32

WATER4GAS
Total Gravity = 135,485
Avg Weekly Gravity = 39.73

EARTH4
Total Gravity = 102,682
Avg Weekly Gravity = 527.05

Since this is a summation of an 8 week sliding window, it is loosely that 180,522 affiliates have made a sale of this product. Again, this is just a relative indicator.
