what is too many backlinks on brand new web page

I have made 3 new pages and wanting to start a backlink program. I want to start with directories but have read that receiving too many back links may be bad at one time. How many back links are bad for a beginner site in the first month of operation?

    nobody can really tell.

the best is to have constant new baclinks rather one bulk then nothing

if i was to do a directory bulk submision, then that would actually add links over time since they all do not show up in directories right away. would this be correct?

I don't think there can be too many back links on a new website. To keep it simple, if you get 100 back links today, make sure you do the same tomorrow or Google will think you are up to something. That's my opinion anyways.

From what I've read your opinion is right. The only type of links which you can get in GREAT amounts and not worry are Press Release links (because google will think you're part of the news ;) ).

It's best to have a constant flow of links.

Thanks for the reassurance ildairus, I am going to try press releases now that you mention it.

With that said, I never make 100 a day, I try to stick to 10 a day (easy to run out of breath if you're creating
    100 quality links a day for multiple web-sites) :)

For new site better start slowly like daily 10-50 .. do not make like 100/day.. some time google may consider if bulk links for short period as sparm

Why do you need such amount of links? I suppose it's better to have 10 quality links at all than 100 low ranked links per day.
I can't even imagine where are you guys gonna find 50 quality links per day and how long will it last.
    Take it easy.

Exactly just make sure the links are natural, not artificial linking schemes to boost rankings.

I were you I would spend a couple of hours once a week, to make sure you have a constant flow.

How do you plan to get the back links anyway?

submit to directories at a 1000 or so but they come in slow over time anyways, I have not been able to get quality back links for this Niche I am in and anyone that I know who has this Niche does not have great pr's. so i am at the point of the use of directories until i figure who a quility back link would be. Bats pest control is the niche arena. does anyone know the inurl code to search for links on specific ranges. I found the tool but it goes only out to 10 items.

Some of the better directory submission companies will provide a service that will spread the link submission over a month or more. They will also give you the option to put in different titles and descriptions, so it does not look like spam on google.

I find those programs do more harm than good. Google and other search engines have come up with ways to know if your using them somehow.

If a google even thinks your cheating they will lower your page rank drastically. If you start getting bulk traffic, google will look your way. I have seen it. A friends site went from pr of 4 and down to a 0 after using a bulk program. Hmm I wonder how that happened?

Anyway, I like doing things the old fashioned way sometimes. Advertising and marketing isn't that hard. You leave legitimate trails online and you will be rewarded with it spreading like wild fire.

The harder you work, the more you will get out of it anyway.

To answer your question -Too many backlinks are just enough to make google look your way:D hehe jk good luck

Oyeah they have to be indexed and cache to be backlinks.

    natural income
    [IMG]

and blow 2.0 income VERY RISKY
    [IMG]
