Hi I read this on the Adsense TOS? Can someone explain what it means cuz i don't quite get the use of it. You must have and abide by an appropriate privacy policy that clearly discloses that third parties may be placing and reading cookies on your users’ browser, or using web beacons to collect information, in the course of ads being served on your website. Your privacy policy should also include information about user options for cookie management.
To my understanding this means that "you should understand that some others members of Google ad sense teem will be checking your cookies for the better placement of ads. you cannot end up saying that it was my private asset and how was somebody allowed to check my personal browsing through cookies."
It means that you must have a privacy policy page on your website. Source: https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=48182&sourceid=aso&subid=ww-ww-et-asui&medium=link
Do we have to have a privacy policy in place on every site that has adsense on ? or could we have one for all of them (network of sites) and then link to it from the other ? (will that be acceptable you think ?)
May be this is so close to that TOS, but I am not sure about that cookies on our system or the visitors system.
Yes, adsense now insist that any site with adsense on it MUST have a privacy policy or they stand in breach of TOS and their account may be banned. It's new and i didn't know about it until recently
