    Hey Guys,

I'm about to go out today and purchase another PC monitor
so I can have dual monitors.

Now on my current monitor there is a blue SVGA/VGA male to
male lead that runs to my computer, I easily can find/know what
    that is, BUT...

The one of the male ends doesn't go into the PC directly, instead
it goes into a white converter of some sort. I don't have a clue what
    the is called?

The end that goes into the computer has like little squares and a few long
    little lines.

Anyone know what this is called?

I think it has to be DVI.

So the cable goes from your monitor > converter > pc? How odd...
