    Hi,
What is the name of the effect in the picture below?
(It kind of adds colors from light to dark.)

    Thank you

isn't this the header of the wordpress deafult template? .. you can change it colour from the theme options.

I to guess its the gradient effect, not sure though!

How do I make a header like this myself? Using my own colors?
I started a new image in photo shop (which is white in background), now how will I fill it with a color with this effect?
    Thank you

There is a gradient tool. Hold down on the fill tool (paint bucket) and you should see the tool appear. Then you chose the two colors you want and drag until you get the desired effect.

    Hope that helps.

if its just changing the colour combinations, as i said it can be done from the blogs themes menu.

If you need to proper banner like in my simple-thinking blog.. maybe I can ask my paid designer to make you one.

Else you need to only edit the blue area of the header, else it will not appear properly in the blog.

    good. thanks for the tip.

    Thanks Guys,

Since I posted this questions I've been scouring the net and reading stuff on opt-in lists etc. Fascinating stuff lol

Now all I gotta do is create an opt-in list .....

Silly question but how much would people pay for an opt-in list of say 1 million email addresses?
