Let´s say an account has 10k followers. What would YOU pay for a Twitter profile like that if it was surrounding your niche? According to http://www.tweetvalue.com an account with 5k followers is worth 1.5k
It is depends om more factors. But you can , for example ,tweet some affiliate links ar cpa offers to you followers to find out how many money you can get from them . I am totally new in Twitter marketing, but seems that converting is little slow from Twitter. I think ,that if you wanna see good results from Twitter you need much more followers , may be 100k and more.
Your Twitter profile is worth: $28 there is one selling link in that site you can try and let us know how much profit u got
I am sitting around 2k followers and have noticed a nice increase for both my website and blog, after any update to either I tweet about it and usually get a hundred or so hits the reason of course is I don't use my twitter account as a marketing tool only, but also as a place to make friends. If the people you tweet to enjoy your tweets and respect you they are much more likely to look at what is new with your site or blog.
It's worth a little, but not too much IMHO. There are many ways to scoop up followers (software, etc), but if you don't have the right followers (for us marketers), it's worthless. An account with 100 of the right followers can produce more results than a generalized, follow me follow you, software generated 2k follower account. To show some worth, you can promo something on your twitter account only, see what money comes in and use that as a basis for your sale. But the numbers alone mean as much as getting 498729475982475 hits to a site when it all came from Digg or something. Just my take on it. Too many people are trying to hit a nail with a battleship rather than a hammer (you need 32 million followers to blah blah blah, etc).
Apparently in April of this year, Rocketboom creator Andrew Baron tried to auction off his twitter account on ebay. It had about 1700 followers at the time. The bids were somewhere over $1500 when he shut the auction down. Story here: http://news.cnet.com/8301-13772_3-9921343-52.html Maybe ramping up your follower count and hyping up an auction on ebay will bring a decent sum of cash... Cheers, Vance
I never would want to think about selling my account I love twitter and would always stick to it although my followers are just 2k and sometimes go to zero. I don't care..
Your Twitter is worth $0. I hate to break the news to you, but its not "your" account. The account belongs to the owner of Twitter. You can not sell something that does not belong to you.
