What is the use of sitemap's???????????

    Hi,

    What is the use of site map's ???????????

    If We are not use these Site maps.

    Search Engine Sitemaps:-

    1. XML
    2. Urllist
    3. ROR

    USER Sitemap:-

    1. HTML
    2. ASP
    3. PHP

    Means What Major Effects We are getting in our Site, In ON PAGE and Ranking. PLEASE Explain all.............................

    NOTE:-If any sitemap name i forgot please tell me

    Mat Cats says that html sitemap better then xml sitemap. But better of all use bouth versions. Gl

    It's the ouput that matter. No search engine reads ASP/PHP code. But they read the output (xml, HTML, whatever) ...And ROR sitemaps is really just RSS. No search engines read ROR specifics to my knoweldge.

    Sitemaps help google to index your site more quickly because robot got every link at one place in sort duration it can reach for maximum url rather then going in page then get other link then again goes to other link associated with different page.
