You will hear all sorts of theories regarding page rank. As for me, the only use for page rank is to you sell links. It may help a bit with ranking, but its impact is very very tiny. My PR 2 website gives me far more traffic than my PR 5 website!
PR depend on PR of a website's backlinks. If you have high PR backlinks then your website will have also good PR. once I have purchase PR7 backlinks for 3 months, I got PR5 at that time. when I remove link from there I got PR2.
pagerank is worth nothing nowadays. you can swap links more easily if you have a high pr - but it doesnt afffect your rankings.
Dear friend the page rank of any page depend on all no. of inbound and outbond links...Hence PR is useful to get your site rank high in SERPs. More is the PR high is the search engine position of your site..
Totally agree. Last year I noticed that PR seemed to matter a lot less in the SERPs. Sites with a high PR started dropping back down the rankings. It looks pretty in your Google toolbar, it's great to tell your boss how you've gone up in PR, but other than that, it's not so relevant now. Unless you can reach a PR of 6 or above, then it shows your site rocks!
