Hi Zakir, As i know there are two major group of the banners. Marketing banners (ads)- the owner earn money when the visitors clikck on them and the other includes the web-based bookmark system icons. There are many different online bookmark systems. If You sign up into one of them, You will be able to store Your favorites in the internet, so You will be able to reach them whenever You are. Some of this systems are really appreciated by SEs. So every webmaster want their users store the bookmarks (especially the url of webmaster own site) in those systems.
