What is the "Unique" for Analytics

I've searched about unique visitors. Some people said just use a cookie, some said use a unique cookie for every visitors, some other said store IP adress at database etc.

I want to know what does Analytics calculates unique visitors? Which variables will make a visitor "unique"?

MAC adress? Cookie? Unique cookie? IP adress? Combination of them? Can anybody explain?

    First of all,

The "unique visitor" metric does not meant to say that the number of "unique people" that visited a site. Probably, this definition is confusing for you, it is better to say Google Analytic considers "unique visitors" as a count of unique cookie values in browser.

In short, Frequency & Recency report looks at sessions rather than unique visitors

Yes, this is true. It's counting unique cookies in sessions.
But some websites are counting ratings from unique IPs, those are not taking 2nd click from that same IP address.

is there is any time limit for counting the "Unique Visitors". Suppose I have visited twice same site from same IP within 30 min , so my question is, am I unique visitor ????

What I say is your browser will store cookies so when you come back after 30 mins, you will not be considered a unique visitor. But if you visit from another browser or visit again after clearing cookies than it will be considered as increased number of visit but will not reflect directly into "unique visitors". It will be a small factor of that final "unique visitor" calculation formula.

Please check out below link for detailed explanation about how GA do calculations for "unique visitor".

No you are not counted as unique visitor unless the site admin has not customised the visit duration. We can customise the duration in GA but by default Google is considering 30 min time bracket.
