the best depends on what you are doing...

    blogging and simple sites- wordpress
    powerful sites - joomla
completely custom and best seo wise.... ModX

All depends....I find myself using Joomla and WP the most often...maybe 60/40 with Joomla in front.

All software is going to have security issues - that is not the problem. Its how well the community deals with the security issue, that is what is important. And the people in the joomla community have a VERY relaxed attitude about security.

Last week a wordpress update was released. A security issue was reported and it was fixed within 1 day.

But with the joomla community, they have the attitude - so what if it has a security issue, it aint hurting nothing.

Wordpress if it covers everything, Drupal next because it is quite sound, Joomla is noob based crap. Just because any idiot can throw it up does not make it good.

That's not normal for them. Most of the security advisories I see for Wordpress include mention "Vendor contacted. No response." in them.

The point I was raising is that you made it sound like Joomba was the one with security problems. I agree with the point you raise that all software has security concerns and should be something to remember.

I seem to remember Firefox going about 8 months on one of their security advisories without a fix.

    Hi.

In the past when I didnt know PHP so well I used Joomla. It has a lot of addons and can make site of almost every kind. But I think it's too heavy... I mean it is loading slowly, it uses a lot of traffic and etc.
