GELLERBING, don't turn this thread into a ridiculous farce! The topic here is What is the secret of your success? If you really need some advice on adsense then make some research on the Internet, DP or google's adsense corner. You're driving this thread way off tangents here!
So start reading all ready! If your serious about getting started with adsense that's what you need to do, and what you should want to do. If all you want to do is post silly questions, or flirt with alang, then why not take this to a singles chat room? All your questions have already been answered dozens of times!
Oh, I'm sorry, I thought forums were meant to give advice and help... Even to the blind minded. And whats the farce? I was ASKING a question about a relevent topic. I don't feel like I should be attacked for this.
I believe that's why all forums provide you with a way to start a new thread in case you need some enlightenment on a particular subject
Knowing people in the right places. Sleeping with them? Joke. I'm still learning. Can't you tell? I'm READING other peoples secrets now...
Well as one Wanky wank dissin you, I can only say I hope you actually read other threads about adsense, but I think you just like to make posts like this one, http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=357538#post357538 just for the sake of getting attention. I hope you realize that forums like this are designed to exchange real information and help, and have a little fun too. You've got the fun part down pretty good, now work on the rest. I've been called a lot of things in my life, but never a wanky wank. Cheers!
Gellerbing, the first and most essential reading is Google AdSense Program Policies. For example, a small phrase in the middle of that page ("Please note that clicking on your own ads for any reason is prohibited") has meant the end of AdSense -forever- for many careless webmasters. The second reading is the detailed AdSense Support section.
People overlook the importance of knowing a lot for yourself. Even when you run a company, it's very helpful to be able to do as much as possible yourself. It will help keep you from getting screwed over. Creativity cannot be underestimated either. Some people come up with a great idea that makes them money forever. Some have been early in registering high quality and traffic domains. The key is to stay on the ball at all times. When you sit back and wonder, you are in danger of losing it all ...
excellent advise, and I might add also very important is not to put all your eggs in one basket! That also goes for hosting your sites. It would be bad business to have all your sites on one server and even one hosting company. Your web sites are your main artieries! Servers go down, does it make sense to have all your sites go down together? Better to spread them out over different hosts and servers. I was told this 10 years ago, but had to learn for myself the hard way!
Good advice and very true. I could not see anyone maintaining 20% to 100% CTR. The more people that visit the higher your revenue should be in theory. Kevin
Wow! I am coming here to this thread after a long time... Lot of good advices here. I am planning to make a list of all these and put them on my site. Will there be copyright/ intellectual property issues?
Having knowledge and passion for what you are doing (which will normally equate to quality and quantity of content). I think if you have those two qualities, you'll be happy that you are making money doing something you enjoy. I also believe that having both passion and knowledge (or an established site) will get you through the inevitable AdSense depression. Once Google AdSense reaches it's apex, and begins to fall a little, as payments begin to dwindle, those with the passion for what they are doing will still be around. Stuart
It can be bitter for a while but it is true. I am not much successful but i know i will be... Two things only: 1)Patience * patience + patience / patience - patience 2) Write your own contents.
I agree with you there on the patience part... one really needs to be very patient. Writing own quality content takes a lot of time. But once it takes up, there is no looking back...
You guys have it wrong. Getting listed in the engines is what counts...content is good only if people actually find it. Dammit you guys don;t know anything.
