What is the second year cost for .info?

I have seen lots of sales on .info domains but I can't ever find the re-registration fee for the second year. Godaddy has a $.99 .info deal going on and I know a couple others less than a dollar.

Does anyone know what it will cost for the second year of registration?

If you are buying a domain to abuse I guess it does not matter but I need a cheap domain to act as a domain name server but I don't want to pay $30 / year for the rest of my life after that.

    Thanks.

From next year, the renewal fee is same as .com, .net domain i.e. $8.88 (at least at NameCheap)

At GoDaddy, go to the 'Domain' menu and click on 'Register a Domain' then at the bottom, you see the 'Check Out Our Low Prices' go to that.

In Any case, it shows as

    Year 1 - $0.99
    Year 2 - $5.49
    Year 3 - $6.99
    Year 5 - $8.75
    Year 10 - $9.09

I guess the year 5 price will be applicable for year 5 to 9 and year 10 price for year 10 onwards.

GoDaddy used to make it easy to find out the rates but they seems to make it harder to find. They had the link hidden in the Bulk Order.

    Here it is https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/jump_pages/chart.asp?app_hdr=0&ci=6776&chartType=4

    This is interesting.
The longer the registration term, the higher the price per year :)

Nope, I don't find it bizzare. They are offering the first 2 years at a loss and they do want to try to lock you in so that they can recover their cost and make a profit from it. I supposed many will bail out after the first year or so and they will sort of recover their cost from those who stays.
