You should use maximum 5 keywords for each page. If your website is new you should not use more than 5 keywords for homepage. At least this is my optinion based on my experience. Ideally is to use 1 keyword per page.

 

Keywords selected for Website are very important in terms of Search Engine ranking results. Try to list down all the relevant keywords according to each page of the website. Match your keywords with content of each of your web page. Always remember that visitors on a website will stick to its pages only if they find something relevant. If keywords & content have no relation in between them, that surely will not keep the visitors interested in staying on the website for long. So, always use the keywords that are relevant to the content.

2. Use them in your content as long as they still make your content flow
3. Use them in your anchor text for your offers
