I am just looking for a few opinions as to how important most of you feel the amount of page views is when analyzing your traffic.

Also, when taking into consideration how many pages you actually have indexed, what is the optimum number that you would want per visitor?

1-5 page views for each visitor?
    More?

    Looking for some opinions. Thanks

This option really varies throughout someone's website. It really depends on the website.

Also I pay more attention to where my traffic comes from and how many people bookmark my site, and how much time they spend.

This all comes from AWSTATS if that is what you are talking about for analyzing traffic.

    Yes Awstats.
Mine just seem to be abnormally high, very early in the life of the site.
I have never noticed these numbers in any other sites, or clients sites, it usually builds over time.

I just consider only unique visite, but not page view. I got like 100 uniques with 1000+ page views and i dont think my visitors visit that much pages though. so page views numbers is not really reliable. in my opinions. ^^

ps. you may have to consider no. of page views along with Visit Duration of each page though. those might help you analyse your traffic better.

Average visit time is around 577 seconds per visitor. With 25% staying 30 minutes or longer.
Uniques (although also not accurate, 100 people can be on 1 IP address), are about 150 - 175 a day, with 2000-3000 page views a day.
Just the page views are throwing me off, but I guess I do have a lot of content.
(Never seems like that much to me)

This can also be affected by return visitors. Look at the number for "Direct address / Bookmarks"

When visitors return to your site they arent counted as uniques, but their page views are counted.

Yeah, I'm using like 3 stats programs including AWStats.
Probably that this is the first blog I have built with so many indexed pages.

Total daily counting return visitors is around 400 so I guess it makes since.

I think the number of page views will vary greatly dpending on the type of site. Some sites will ony get 1-2 page views per unique while others might get around 5 or more.

it is important because you will know the number of times your page is viewed and also it is significant to know where your visitors come from

My page views for this month are 46,699 as of this moment.
I just thought that was kind of high.
68,000 for the 30 days that it has been online.
I have a lot of pages but something seems a little off.
    Bookmarks are 97%?

I'm good, but it's only been a month.

This isn't my first rodeo, but this is a lot for the first month, also my indexed pages keeps rising.
Last week it was 1500, now its 2700. I'm not making them that fast.
    Also Google Bot 17,000 + 92?
I'm not a newbie, but something is up.

I have never seen it go this fast before.
