What is the reason for decline in my website ranking?

    Hi,

    My website had a very good ranking earlier but due to some issues from the developers end caused a decline in the ranking. Reason being the changes in htaccess. The issues has already been resolved and my website has also been cached by Google but there are still no improvements in the ranking. Kindly give your valuable suggestions to raise back the ranking.

    If it was that easy everybody's site would be at the top. Considering that they now run 2-3 updates a day, nobody knows what hit your site. The best thing you can do is: don't panic. Doing anything at this point will be like a knee-jerk reaction and you can actually make things worse. Wait it out. It's always a good idea to give it between 1-2 months to see if the ranking improves on its own. It usually does.
