Is it only the revenue from premium memberships Anyway i am using one of them and a CPA survey gateway to the download links in my site
Survey gateway must be pretty profitable, but big websites/forums would probably ban the filehost soon. Revenue also comes from CPM banners and other stuff like that, popups seem pretty popular too.
Pay per download as it indicates earning money for every download.I haven't personally tried it but i also heard things how it works.
profit is when somebody is bored in waiting then buy PREMIUM account! and thats the profit of sites like this
While I really like this pay per download thing, I think the business model won't really last that very long. I for one won't pay premium membership except if it is Rapidshare. Once the market dries up, then PPD sites will change their pay rates and mechanics fast. And this is happening now with Hotfile.
I highly doubt any of these sites do that, nor do they have the resources to bind thousands of files every day.
