of paying for a directory that has homepage of PR5 or PR6 and all inner pages are 0 ? And they are all from 10 to 50 dollars.

I think you should only charge if your directory has page rank on inner pages !!

Well i accept free submission in apropriate cateogires ( which have pr )
and only taking money for first level categories which have pr higher than second level cats.

And there are a lot of free dirs that have pr0 now but will have lets say pr5 in couple of months on the home page and none on inner pages so it is the same as those paid ones now

What is the point of paying then ?

    Hi

I think all php link script user should take those codes out so some people can link back. let's guess if we want to link back to you. in our direcories we cann't. We have to add manualy on html page. it might be with 0 pr or might not have traffic.

    Good Luck

Thats a good point you made. even, well established directories like botw.org have PR0 assigned to their deep directories. still worse, within it, the paging (1,2,3) still reduces the PR, which i personally think. though it looks PR0 i still believe that there are so many factors involved than just tool PR.

That is why many established directories, use a file structure than using pure tree like directory classification.

It's really true. If you can't get good Pr from it , it's useless to submit to those directories. Worst is joeant. They have thousands of pages and if you submit in one directiry for good pr, they'll move your site to a category which will never be visited for sure.

The site will always be moved to the best fitting category, no matter what PR that category has. If it was first approved in another topic, that must be a mistake. Nobody will be happy if we approve every site in the same, high topic. And why do you think we have
    ?

If you look at other threads in this forum, you'll see we also send visitors directly to sites, so why submit only for PR? We have over a million visitors a month.

There is a lot more to consider that just Pagerank for a directory.

I would take having a brand new website being listed in a PR0 BOTW.ORG category over having it listed in a fairly new directory with a PR5 category page.

Is the page cached and if so with relative frequency? That’s considerably more important then the PR of the page.

not only the pr is important...it's also importent how often the page is indexed by the search engines, and how many pages link to it. You should read how pr is calculated and there you'll see that even if the page is PR0, when there is the PR update it will count!(because it's not really 0, it depends on how many link point to it and how many point out of it)
