What is the point of this?

Hi DP members. I've been an SEO consultant for about 3 months now so I want all the support I can get.

I have one client atm and they run a small marriage therapy firm in the Washington DC area. Competition is TIGHT. Don't know how to convince my client that she needs to migrate her 15 yr old website to Wordpress but hey, I'm just a noob.

Just wondering why anyone would be reading this post in the first place. Shouldn't there be a better way to introduce yourself...something like an eye catcher? I know I sure don't have time to go reading people's introductions unless I knew they...

a. had a similar situation as me and wanted to collaborate on SEO strategies
b. wanted to expand a "noob" network and talk about homegrown strategies
c. share resources

From a business perspective, my guess would be that those who read these are selling something. I'm on a tight budget of course so I would rather talk about strategy rather than handing off my job to someone else.
