what is the point of banning people?

i see people here who register multiple accounts, and i was just wondering what is the point of banning people since they can just create another account...

unless... there is ip logging, but i dont think there is on this forum and i think there should be. unless im mistaken.

Yep there have been cases here where people have been banned for creating multiple accounts. and you can tell because of the IP.

I hasten to add that I have nothing to confess - at least not in terms of multiple registrations.

 

Try it and find out!! I once registered as GoogleGuy...and confessed so I got mercy.

Now if I did it again...

 

DP even has an ip search and match algo that will cross-type visitors by blood-type, dna, the car they drive and how many sheep they own.

How can you really say that ....

while logging in from same connection from a corporate company ... you are suppose to be tracked for same ip where as people actully operating might be different... then what?

can't ban people for logging from a same ip.. so can't ban a ip.

 

and also there is a thing called proxy...
