I know many would have noticed by now, but just want to ask what is the real point in disabling the bumping feature? You may argue that people spam there with "pm sent" "check pm" kinda posts but considering that fact that these people are spamming and spoiling the whole experience of BST section, But come on everybody knows bumping really helps to bring up more sales and more business in your thread. I cant quite get the concept of advertising your service through signature links its literally very less or not effective at all.

To avoid pm sent and "check pm" like posts there is an option in vbulletin admincp to change minimum number of letters being used per post, it can be altered to a higher number so that people cant post that kind of posts and forced to post a more detailed post instead.

You may argue people use search feature to look for what they are looking for but thats a theoretical assumption and I am sure people who have used BST section before and after this new change is being brought in they would have at least noticed a huge difference in their sales and I am one of them. If you argue that people use search to lookout for what they are looking for then why there is a sudden drop in sales?

As far as I am concerned I am fully against this whole concept of blocking bumping of threads in BST section and encouraging advertising your services through signatures which literally makes no sense to me as its not effective at all.

I am just making a poll for those who are for and against the new change in BST section.
