    Hello,

Just thought I would get everyones opinions. I may soon be launching a content ghostwriting service. It will have the following:

1.) Writers with English as first language guaranteed so grammer and spelling will be perfect.
2.) Fast Delivery of content - Usually between 24-36 hours
3.) Content subject chosen by requestor
4.) Guaranteed Unique content - Researched topics rather than plaguarized content, only changing a few words
5.) Full rights to put your name on content and claim ownership, these will truly be ghostwritten.
6.) Knowledgable writers on subjects like SEO, Music, Movies, Books, and hopefully many other categories
7.) Full samples provided beforehand to guage quality
8.) Accept credit cards, Paypal, Cheque amongst others

Before possibly launching, I am looking to get a better idea of what level of interest we would have so that I can be sure we are prepared.

What financial threshhold would cause you to have interest in using this service. The length of articles for this poll will be 300-400 words. Please choose the upper threshold at which you would be interested. I know everyone would be interested at a $1 an article so please vote for the MOST you would pay.

    Thank You,
    yfs1

Whoa, I just voted on this poll and found that I was the only vote yet.

In any case, I must tell you that I would be willing to buy articles in sets of 100-200. In addition to the all the specs you list, I might need you to look at some keyword insertion specs. Not keyword stuffing, but elegant keyword insertion as per my specs. I would pay you $4 to $5 for each article and can easily commit to 100 at a time. You would have to physically sign an originality clause and indemnify me from claims of plagiarism.

I know that you are promising to "ghostwrite," but I would need the option to declare you (or whoever is the actual writer) as the writer.

BTW, I am confident that you can easily get $10-20 per article. So, I am not trying to cut your price down. It is just that I need a lot of articles (1000s actually) and this is the most I can afford).

    Thanks
    Ajeet

I only posted it a few minutes ago...Thanks for voting!

    Absolutely

All articles will be written knowing SEO is in mind. We would be able to accomodate percentage requests although the default will certainly be natural writing

    Cheers

If I only needed ONE article I would pay $10. If I wanted 50 I would pay maybe $5. If I wanted 500+ it would be more like $2-3 an article. It depends on volume really.

I'd be willing to pay $25 depending on the subject.

It depends on whether you want people to actually read it or not. If you buy 200 articles just for indexing and linking purposes it doesn't all have to be clear fact or scientifically correct so the standards drop as well as the price I'd be willing to pay.

If it's an article for the homepage or something then we're talking different standards and different prices.

Please let me know when you have this service up! My comments would be similar to those posted above -- but I would be willing to buy en masse (probably up to 50 articles at a time) but would want to be sure that the content would be unique to my site and that the person writing it either did ample research or knew the subject already -- I'm very interested in GOOD content for my site.

    Let us know!

Hmm, interesting poll, yfs1... max $10 or £5 for a good SEO-friendly 350 word article...?

When the min wage is only a little less than your top figure, a piece of good, unique, well-crafted content with SEO factored-in for the same or less than it costs to get some random unqualified person to sweep crap off the workshop floor for an hour is an absolute bargain :D

Like EyesCoffee, I'd be more than happy to pay the $10 for a good article, or even $25 as T0PS says (though I'd expect to be paid $50 for having written it ;) ) and then potentially expect an economy of scale after that...

Look forward to seeing the service :)

Thanks for the suggestions on the muti-tiered as I was considering that also.

As far as the $25, we may introduce an "Expert in their Field" category which would command that but the regular ones will be from people who are merely "knowledgable" in that field or good researchers.

We may also roll out blog posting although it will be a multi step process.

What I am guaging here mostly is:

Do I have the proper resources in place (I am currently only using people I know and have a track record with) to handle the demand that may be present at different price levels?

    and

Am I on track with the amounts I have in mind

As previously mentioned, I would expect to pay more for quality--home page level text. Also, a decent price break at roughly 10 then 50 then 100 articles would be attractive.

My figure was $5 for your poll.

    For 10 articles , I would pay $ 75
    50 articles- $315
    100- $565

    something like that anyway

Good luck...it sounds great. Feel free to contact me when you begin.

No need to worry. If and when this launches, it will initially only be announced at DP. I appreciate the feedback given so far so because of that we will give DP members first crack. I still have a bit to do as quality and reputation are extremely important to my all of my business so this won't be announced a minute befor its ready.

    Cheers All

The other information I am after (sorry to double post) is the type of content most people are after. I have one science expert for instance (MIT graduate) but am unsure if that is that popular of a topic. Can members post the top 3 (or 1 if thats all they would want) topics that you would want.

You can PM me (much appreciated) if you don't want to share with the class.

I have SEO, Science, Health, and Music covered in a big way along with a huge range of other topics in a smaller way.

Before I launch it would be a great help to know what topics are hot for content.

    Cheers!

    I'd pay the $10...

I currently pay a lot less for the guy who does my work, but to have another convenient means of getting content written quickly, I'd be happy to pay for the priviledge...

Keep us informed - You'll end up with a lot of custom if your talking about prices like that.

I'd pay $10, no problem. I get a lot of web design business and sometimes clients have not a clue how or what to write. Being able to provide that service would be great. I have several sites of my own I could use the service with.

How specific to the site are we talking? Would it be general info somewhat related to the site, or specific to something say the site was selling? For good industry and product related articles I would pay $10 per article, 2-3 articles every two weeks continuously if and only if I could review them for accuracy. My customers like coming to my site to learn about things as well as purchase items. I own a fragrance related site, so my customers are small business owners or hobbyists.

If it's originial, and English first language, I don't see how your prices could be under $10/page. Especially if you're talking about MIT graduates :D

I'm very interested though, I could use about 100 articles on various health related topics.

I'd definitely pay the $10 per article price as well.

Technology would be a good category. Sub-topics would be: Cell Phones, Digital Cameras, and new handheld devices like the PSP, i-pod, etc...

yfs1, I thought you would like to hear a comment from a fellow colleague.
I currently run a web content providing web site, like you, we offer ghostwriting services and usually our clients ask us to keep the SEO basics in mind when writing an article.
As to “hot” topics, my experience tells me that the most popular topics
are, usually, web development related- web design, web hosting, web development, Search engine optimization and so on.
It would be good for you to have a web development specialist on board.
We also have many requests for “tip” articles, dealing with self-help issues, i.e. Tips to stop smoking, tips to loose weight, tips to overcome shyness…you got the picture.
    I hope that helped.

    Cheers thanks for the info.

I actually have all the people in place and the site interface done but I ran into a problem I didn't anticipate....One of my other e-commerce sites was featured in a few magazines. This has meant a tremendous amount of work and has also meant that for now I have to hold off on the new venture.

I should be launching it sometime in the near future.
