Click "get links." In the search box drop-down, select "products". Enter a product in the search box.

On the returned listings, click "Get HTML" for an active advertiser's product, or join the advertiser program, then click "get HTML."

What is the best converting format for sales? Just description of product and link, sales letter type or "I'm providing information on some topic and highly recommend you buy this and this product"?

How do directories look at affiliate only websites? I heard it's really hard to get in, but adsense sites with unique content seem to be OK

I think that depends on the products you're selling. Directories and SE's like unique content with affiliate links as much as they like it with adsense.

And I have sites that do pretty well with both.

Right, but what I'm wondering about is what format would result in most conversions? I heard that sales letter format works best from one source, from another I heard that you have to "pre-sell" with related info and then just "suggesting" a product to a visitor.

I am averaging $100 to $150 a month with about 2000 to 3000 unique vistits a month, but it is mostly a break even after advert cost and host, but is not back for my site being 2 months old.

I'm a newbie in CJ - just getting into it. Is it safe to place any affiliate links/banners on the same page with adsense?

There is no one best way... it's all going to depend on the product you're selling, where your traffic comes from, etc.

Freddy81, you can use any link from CJ and Adsense on the same page without issue.

Stop asking and start doing. ;) The rule of thumb on this forum is to not give our any urls to your sites.

Do you people (the cj money makers) intregrate cj affiliates into your existing site, or build sites around the affiliate program? or both?

pennys, luck if I make 85p a day.
Websites name, content and the affiliate I use are 100% related, number 1 rank on msn for the main keyword but still make nothing out of it.
Being number one on google would help but is imposible.

Shopping for X? What about all the sites like gaming, tech news etc, people aren't coming to shop for anything, they are coming for news etc, or is CJ for products?

Maybe it's the product? Maybe it's the design/look of your site or no?

Personally I think if people are coming to read and not shop, then your conversion will be much, much, much lower. This is the main reason many people give up on affiliate programs.... they're using it on the wrong type of traffic.

For my sites that are more informational, news, etc, I stick to PPC programs. That's "clicking" traffic but not "buying" traffic IMO.
