    I think it does not depend on the type of website but on its content if the site has something worth reading or visiting for. Also interactive sites that allow people to do something interesting they're fond of doing.

    For me a blog site is still the most profitable type of site but right now Im also considering article directory type of sites as I think it can be a good type of site for instant content and traffic.

    I believe the affiliate marketing program sites are more profitable as compared to every other business however, it depends on the niche of the site as well.

    Gaming forums, funny blogs (with jokes etc.)

    as for products, niche products in the wellness/health/pregnancy/beauty niche are pretty good
