It's not easy to build links to a website, mainly because a great amount of the links you build never actually get indexed by Google. So if Google doesn't see them, then your work was in vain. A couple of years ago, we had the almighty Digg.com. Whenever I got a new link that didn't get indexed quickly, I would submit a story to this website, and in one hour tops both the story and the web page where I had that link would get stored in Google's database. But for a long time now, Digg does not perform very well from this point of view. So I ask you, fellow SEOs, what do you do to index the links to your website? And please, no cheap answers like "use social bookmarking sites" or "ping the page with pingomatic.com" because none of these methods work. The grand majority of social bookmarking sites these days don't give you a dofollow link, or they simply don't get crawled by Google often enough to index your every story. There must be something else out there. Can you tell me what? Thanks!
Hmm u could try registering your site with google webmaster tools, verifying it and then submiting its RSS feed or sitemap. This is a fast way to get noticed by google and the other SEs. Despite what you say some social bookmarking sites are still do follow, for example folkd.com has a pr of 7 and gets indexed in a relatively quickly and i have had very positive results with it.
Completely agree, sitemap submission is the best and quickest way I have found. Keep your sitemap updated and resubmit the update regularly. I do it daily because I update the site daily, but if you don't update your site content regularly then a monthly update should be enough.
Hi I'm sorry, I think you guys didn't understand my question. I do not need to get my own website indexed (that's easy). I want to have Google index the web pages on other sites that have links toward my site.
Making backlink, and also pinging the webpages. Also submit sitemap to the search engine, it will be very powerful
I'm in the same boat as you. Yahoo recognizes many more of my backlinks than google does. Trying to figure out how to get google to recognize more of more links.
on my observation, having an established blog makes your new post indexed faster. And i don't know but my one theory of mine also is that you have your own domain.
You can create one master RSS feed of all of your backlinks (or part of them) at freerssfeedgenerators.com and submit that RSS feed to a few RSS aggregators. On another note, if Google does not SHOW all the backlinks, this does not mean they do not SEE those backlinks (they never promised us to show what they see, huh?). So do not worry too much, just keep on building those links.
